old story
For over a decade, I built a successful career in consumer finance at a large, well-known bank; climbing the corporate ladder, running a department of over thirty employees at the age of twenty six and becoming the youngest Operations Manager in the business. As a result, I found myself outnumbered in meetings by white, bald men more than twice my age. On paper, I was thriving; recognised for my standout work, celebrated in performance reviews and had a powerhouse team by my side.
So why did I walk away from it all?

It's widely acknowledged, in psychological studies and across many cultures that the transition to motherhood is profoundly transformative. It awakens parts of you that you never knew existed. For me, it sparked a realisation I had been quietly suppressing for years: I needed more creativity.
I'd outgrown the life I was meant to want.
After having two children in quick succession, everything finally aligned. The timing. The purpose. The need to build a life that truly reflected the person I was becoming. So, I did it. I did the brave, yet slightly reckless, thing and quit! Amidst raising a newborn, 1 year old toddler and tackling a home renovation, some thought I was crazy and how could I argue with them, really.
So it was on maternity leave with my second baby, between nap times and night feeds, that my third baby Céleste was born.

The Idea
I love the idea of being "that" girl. The one who meditates, says her affirmations, journals and ends the day with gratitude. I wanted to master mindfulness but life is full and chaotic meaning some days those rituals can fall by the wayside.
I needed it to become second nature. So while I was in bed trying to solve this problem, I realised... the thing we repeatedly reach for, our mobile phones, were ironically the least inspiring object we own. So why weren't we using them as a tool?
This is where Céleste began; turning an overlooked object into a gentle nudge. A sparkle from an embellishment, the light reflecting off the emblem, the sensation of beads touching the palm of your hand, all a quiet cue inviting you to pause, breathe and speak the affirmation or gratitude you were meant to make time for. A brief moment that leaves lasting impact.
Because manifestation isn't mystical; it's neuroscience.
By the age of seven, your belief system is already largely shaped. Shaped by your family, upbringing, environment, culture and observations. As somebody that grew up in a toxic and abusive environment, I've had to work hard at challenging and consciously rewiring and refining my own beliefs.
You need not suffer in your own head. Your belief system can be rewired through the consistent repetition of positive affirmations and intentional actions; these create new neural pathways in your brain via neuroplasticity.
A New Perspective on The Modest Phone Case
Studies show we reach for our mobile phones more than 100 times a day. So ask yourself: does your phone case inspire you - and if not, why not? Imagine transforming those 100+ daily reaches into 100+ daily moments of intention, shaping beliefs, desires and dreams while curating your future self and world.
Céleste art is thoughtfully designed with intention; each sharing a unique narrative. Choosing a piece that resonates with you is essential for a truly personal experience.
A Final Word From Me
Your support, in any form, means more than you know to a small, British, female-founded business. I'm incredibly grateful you're here... and for reading on this far! So, here's to building this brand together, one brave (and occasionally reckless) step at a time.
